your google ads aren't converting, and here's why

lots of clicks, zero sales? your ads aren't broken, they're just talking to the wrong people, or sending them somewhere with nothing to say.

You're getting clicks. The budget is going somewhere. And yet, mysteriously, your phone isn't ringing and your inbox is suspiciously quiet. Welcome to one of the most common, most fixable problems in all of paid advertising: clicks without conversions.

First culprit, almost always: your landing page. If your ad promises 'fast, affordable plumbing' and your landing page is a generic homepage with a stock photo of a wrench and absolutely no phone number above the fold, people are going to bounce. Fast. The ad did its job. The landing page didn't.

Second culprit: targeting that's too broad, too vague, or aimed at people who were never going to buy in the first place. Clicks are not leads. A thousand clicks from people who just wanted free information is not the same as one hundred clicks from people ready to hire you.

Third culprit, and this one stings: your offer just isn't compelling enough to act on right now. 'Contact us for a quote' is not exciting. 'Get a free quote in 24 hours, no obligation' is a lot more likely to get someone to actually pick up the phone.

At Peak Marketing, we've taken over accounts that were technically running fine with good click-through rates and reasonable cost per click, but converting at near zero. The fix usually isn't more budget. It's better targeting, a landing page built to actually close, and an offer worth clicking through for.

Spending more money on a leaky bucket just means you're losing more money faster. Fix the leak first. Then scale.
